The Children's Museum of Walla
Walla is a non-profit organization that has been successful because of the
generosity and dedication of the people of Walla Walla valley. Your dedication
ensures the Museums future! On a daily basis, CMWW runs smoothly because
of the volunteers who are committed to their community and have chosen to
put their valuable time and effort, to the benefit of our organization!
Volunteering at CMWW is a fun
and rewarding experience. Volunteers are greatly appreciated and we strive
to make our workplace safe, enjoyable, and open! Volunteers are encouraged
to ask questions and make suggestions to staff members. In turn, we hope
to provide volunteers with experiences that fulfill personal needs and individual
talents. We are ready and willing to work with your schedule and cant
wait to figure out how your interests and strengths will fit into our organization!

Here's what we need:
There are many different ways
you can volunteer at CMWW. The following volunteer positions are adaptable
to your own skills and schedule:
Volunteer position for those
who are flexible. One who would not mind answering questions, picking up
after museum guests, and helping with small projects. This position is great
for those who are interested in helping our visitors with special crafts,
or even hosting your own story-time!
Do you have a talent that you would like to
share with our museum guests? We have many opportunities for workshop
teachers to teach young visitors in many interactive topics such as magic,
volcanoes, salmon, engineering, electricity, baseball, cooking- anything!
One time events or weekly workshops- you decide!
- Special Project Volunteers-
The museum is always changing-
we will need volunteers who are willing to come in for a few hours to
complete large projects such as changing exhibits, spring cleaning, museum
holiday parties, and fundraising events
This position is for a creative and dedicated
volunteer. Committee members have many responsibilities that focus on
the devolpment and future of the museum. Committee members are required
to attend committee meetings and to assist with committee projects.
These discussions and projects will include but are not limited to:
- Exhibit Committee: Planning, building
and maintaining exhibits
- Fundraising/Event Committee: Planning
fundraising events and helping on day of event
- Development Committee: Works on museum
sponsorships, grants, and other ways to receive donations
